Are you seeking a furnished single-family home in a well-landscaped, quiet neighborhood of San Francisco? This Saint Francis Wood home is close to good schools, parks, restaurants, stores, groceries, post office, and other convenient services? The elegant furnished home was built in 1917 and features some of the original Edwardian-details, including crown moldings, a gorgeous fireplace, front columns, and a balcony. Saint Francisco Wood was landscaped by the Olmsted Brothers (of Central Park fame) and it feels like an oasis within the city of SF. In the 1980s the home was expanded to accommodate a music room, a family room with another fireplace, a finished basement, a deck, a garage, a swimming pool, and a hot tub. The well-maintained 4-bedroom, 3 1/2 bath property has been in the same family since 1973 and was recently painted throughout, including the kitchen cabinetry, a new stainless refrigerator, and updated lighting and electrical. A short walk from the house is West Portal, a popular street for dining and shopping (walking score for this area is 92). At one end of West Portal is the tunnel outlet for Muni underground and provides riders convenient access to downtown and to other areas of San Francisco (public transit score for this area is 72). Nearby is Stonestown, a large shopping mall. Excellent public schools in the area include Lowell High School, Miraloma Elementary School, Commodore Sloat, and Aptos Middle School. There are also numerous parochial and private schools, including Lick Wilmerding High School, Saint Cecilia, Saint Brendan's, and others.

A short car ride or longer walk will get you to Stern Grove, a beautiful park that hosts an outdoor summer performance program with music, dance, and theater offerings. The beach and zoo are also on this side of the city.

This is the perfect home for a family with two to three children. The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. The two larger bedrooms have their own closets and a shared bathroom between them. One of the four bedrooms is best used as a nursery or for a younger child. The bedroom level also has an office with built-in bookcases.
